![]() By: Yamileth Altamirano Who doesn’t love Starbucks, so many choices of different flavors, but you always know that there will be overall favorites, and I’m here to tell you what they are. So the Starbucks drink that takes spot #5 is Strawberry Açai Refresher! This drink is especially great to get at summer with its refreshing strawberry taste Ice, Strawberry Acai Base [Water, Sugar, White Grape Juice Concentrate, Natural Flavors, Citric Acid, Natural Green Coffee Flavor, Fruit And Vegetable Juice, Rebaudioside-a], Water, Freeze-dried Strawberries. ![]() And the 4th place goes to also one my favorites it’s the pink drink! The pink is Made with Starbucks' Strawberry Acai Refresher, the beverage has a tiny bit of caffeine thanks to some green coffee extract. Instead of water, it's mixed with coconut milk to add the shade of pink that makes it so Instagrammable. And let's not forget the chunks of fresh strawberries and blueberries that adds to its fruity flavor. The pink drink is just a flavor of what spring is, yet is great to drink all year long. ![]() And coming in 3rd place is the Salted Caramel Mocha! The Salted Caramel has Mocha sauce and toffee nut syrup are combined with coffee and milk, then topped with sweetened whipped cream, caramel drizzle and a blend of turbinado sugar and sea salt. It is best in fall with it’s sugary yet salty at the same time. ![]() And the drink that takes spot #2 is the snickerdoodle hot chocolate! The Snickerdoodle Hot Cocoa. Snickerdoodle Hot Cocoa is a delicious and rich twist on hot chocolate. This easy holiday drink is a perfect winter treat for all ages. Flavored with cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and topped with cinnamon sugar whipped cream, this decadent dessert drink tastes just like a snickerdoodle cookie! ![]() And the drink that takes spot #1 is also one of my favorites and it's the peppermint mocha. It is holiday classic made with our signature espresso, steamed milk, sweet mocha sauce, and peppermint-flavored syrup. It's all topped off with whipped cream and dark chocolate curls. I wanted to get some people opinions because I know that the drinks that I listed are everyone’s favorite and everyone has their own way they want their drink. I asked Cesar Chavez a freshman at KSJC what his favorite Starbucks drink was and he said, “I like the camel mocha upside down with extra caramel, and I also like the Double chocolate frappe”. I then asked another freshman what his favorite Starbucks drink was and Albertico Carrera said, “Well I don’t really like Starbucks but one drink that I think looks pretty good is the pink drink”. I also asked a Sophomore named Bryan and he said his favorite Starbucks drink was the Strawberry acai which is one of the drinks that I listed on my list.I also asked Jorge Perez a freshman at KSJC and he said, “I don’t get Starbucks a lot but when I do my go to is the peppermint mocha, but I would like to try the pink drink it just looks like it tastes good” I also asked Jose Luis also a freshman what his favorite Starbucks drink was and he said , “i get the strawberry acai refresher but I like to put lemonade in that stuff is bomb!, and the vanilla bean is also really good, and I also like to get the caramel frap”. And from what I have seen everyone has their favorite Starbucks drink and I myself like most of the drinks in that I listed and I also agree with everyone’s choices too, but overall right now I think many people are going to go for the cold and refreshing drinks since summer it pretty much just around the corner, and spring is on its way too! And there you have it the top 5 Best Starbucks drink that you can get,I hope that you enjoyed it. ![]() Wingstop is a restaurant chain that specializes in wings and is aviation-themed. Wingstop has about 7 locations in San Jose, but more in neighboring cities like Milpitas and Santa Clara, etc. Wingstop is a popular restaurant among many teens and adults. My visit to Wingstop was a fairly pleasant one, with nothing too exciting. I ordered my food on wingstop.com, and I got the 10 piece combo, which included 10 boneless wings, large seasoned fries, and a 20oz soft drink. The total was $13.97, including tax, which was a fairly reasonable price, considering all the food they give you. The website told me the order would be ready in 20-25 minutes, so I waited 15 minutes, and proceeded to drive there, and sure enough, the food was ready. The only problem I had with the entire experience was how they didn’t have a beverage option in the store, though it was shown as an option online. However, that is just a minor problem. As previously stated, I got 10 boneless “Hickory Smoked BBQ” wings, large fries, and a 20oz Coke. The wings were nice and tender, though there were some that had a bit too much breading, which meant less chicken. The pieces were about twice the size of a store-bought chicken nuggets, and ten times as good. The barbeque sauce was had a sweet hint to it, but was also fairly spicy. It paired great with Coke to wash it down. The fries were amazing, with a seasoning that tasted great. I had never tried fries like that before, but were surprisingly good. I will definitely visit again, and as Adrian’s review score, he gives this restaurant a solid 7/10. I’ve been to this place many times before, and it has never failed to fill me up with a good lunch. I would strongly recommend this to my friends and family, and anyone who has been decisive on what to order. ![]() By: Adrian Ruelas There are dozens of great mexican restaurants in the San Jose area, but a few shine above the rest. Here, I will be giving you my top 3 places (not in any certain order) on where to get a good burrito and other mexican foods.
(408) 923-3610 Jalisco Taqueria is a popular restaurant which sits on King Road, an extremely busy street that goes all down through the eastside of San Jose. Jalisco Taqueria is never full on weekdays, but on weekends, especially at night, the place is packed with hungry customers craving some delicious mexican food. I went on Wednesday, February 13, to get a burrito. When I arrived, the place was mostly clean, with a somewhat dirty floor. I ordered a large supreme carne asada burrito, at a price of $8.39. It seemed a bit pricey. I went to wash my hands, and I noticed their bathrooms weren’t the cleanest, at least the men’s bathrooms weren’t. The floor was wet and dirty, the toilet was unsanitary, and the sink looked like if it had been there since the 1780’s. I went back to wait for my burrito, and I only had to wait one more minute. In total, the wait time was 4 minutes. The burrito was good, was well made, and I realized why it was a bit pricey. It had everything I wanted: cilantro (coriander), carne asada, arroz (rice), aguacate (avocado), and frijoles (beans). Madison Tlatenchi said, “It was good, you don’t get tired of it.”
(408) 937-1010 La Costa is a great place to get mariscos and mexican food, including tacos, burritos, tortas, ceviche, cócteles, and more. They have three locations in San Jose, and the nearest to my house happened to be their outdoor restaurant. The place was fairly busy, and I was surprised people stayed there to eat considering there wasn’t any indoor seating and it was chilly outside. I went and ordered the same type of burrito that I got at Jalisco’s, but this place had higher quality food, better tortillas, more meat, a larger variety of stuff inside (that you can ask the cashier to keep out). It was a bit bigger, and tasted authentic, like it came straight out of Mexico. I ordered a Jarritos Mandarina drink, and it paired great with the giant burrito. Luis Ramirez has this to say about the place, “That sh*t is super bomb, no cap. The burritos are delicioso, so much flavor into it, and I love when they put crema in it, I just love it. I would go everyday if I had money. It is pretty clean for being outside, sometimes you see bird poop, and they swarm you if you drop meat, but it just adds to the excitement.” There are also indoor locations, if outdoor isn’t for you. ![]()
(408) 272-7871 Super Taqueria is another mexican food chain in San Jose, though this one seems to be popular and preferred by many. When I went I ordered a burrito (the same type as the previous locations) and waited. The bathrooms weren’t clean, but I had to do with what I had. I washed my hands, and left, thinking my order would be ready soon. Man, was I mistaken. It took about 30 minutes for my order to be ready, but considering how crowded the place are, I don’t blame them. There were tons of people, probably more than all the other restaurants I mentioned combined. There was little walking space, and it was a miracle if you got a seat to wait on. I watched as the workers made the food, and they worked extremely fast, and seemed exhausted. Despite their efforts, the food took a great amount of time to be ready. Though the time wait was considerably long, the food was absolutely delicious. The had a great, well cooked tortilla de harina, with perfect meat, avocados, cilantro, crema, rice, beans and more. My friends said they sold proficient burritos there, and it definitely tasted like one. Here are some thoughts from a fellow classmate: “The food was pretty good, but the place didn’t seem that sanitary to me, so if I were to go there again I would probably order to go”, describes Sergio Contreras. Those are my three favorite places to go eat mexican foods like burritos and more! Make sure to stop by these places soon, and keep in mind the review to know all the pros and cons that these restaurants have. ![]() Donuts could come into many shapes, colors, and designs. Many people enjoys eating donuts with a cup of coffee or milk, which makes it much taster to eat as a kid or an adult. The history of donuts had been an experience for many people that would need a little sweet in their lives. The donut that has the hole in the middle had been the more iconic around these past years. Hanson Crockett Gregory was a 16 year old sailor who had invented the donut hole in June 22, 1847. Hanson Crockett was born on the month of 1831 in Rockport. He had been reportedly eating fried dough while he was piloting his ship. The history of the national doughnut day had started in 1938 as a fundraiser for, “Chicago’s The Salvation Army.” They had only one goal to complete first and it was to help out those who were in need during the Great Depression and to honor the salvation army, “Lassies” of world war one. They served doughnuts to the soldiers, and about 250 volunteers went to France. As for the first bagels they were first invented in a successful french bagel restaurant. Then that's when Hanson Gregory, a seaman, had claimed to invent the donuts. One of the most popular donut place is for example is the Krispy Kreme donut place. Vernon Rudolph is the one who had founded the Krispy Kreme donut place. The Krispy Kreme donut place was founded in July 13,1937 in Winston-Salem,NC. Vernon Rudolph bought a secret doughnut recipe found from a New Orleans French chef. He had then started to rent a building in which he started selling a bunch of Krispy Kreme donuts on July 13,937 to many other local grocery stores as well. The most iconic doughnut from Krispy Kreme are the glazed donuts which everyone would always get and would enjoy eating. These types of donuts are very soft and smooth to bite into. Julia Silva, a freshman student, had tasted the Krispy Kreme donuts and had shared that her favorite doughnuts from there is, “the glazed donuts because they are just so soft to bite into and once you bite into the glazed donut it will just melt into your mouth.” This demonstrates that these type of donuts were and still are the most loved donuts from Krispy Kreme. Another student named Marcos had said that his favorite donut from Krispy Kreme is the, “glazed doughnut because they put the right amount of sugar and it would just make my day even if its a rough day.” This illustrates that he also enjoys eating glazed donuts because of the sweetness and the vibe that it gives you once you take a bite out of it. Ernesto, a freshman student, says that he was, “really happy it turned out as expected,” by this he means that the donuts was, “really crunchy on the glaze, but really soft in the inside.” Ernesto tells me that he would give it a 9/10. Another donut place that is just usually just to grab and go is the Yum Yum donuts. The Yum-Yum donuts are just based in California, it was founded in 1971 by Philip C. Holland. The difference in yum-yum donuts and any other donut place is that they would just make only regular donuts that are just donuts that have a hole in the middle of the donut and many people would usually only get the dozen box just to quickly exit and enjoy. This donut place also contains any type of drink you want to go with your donut such as coffee, milk, flavor milk, and ect. The yum-yum donuts have a very smooth icing that goes on top and other donuts would have a crunch to it. According to a freshman student named Alexis said that his favorite donut from this place is the, “chocolate donut which has chocolate icing all over the top because sometimes it could be very smooth and the texture of the donut is just the best to bite into.” This demonstrates that some would just enjoy on the texture of the icing or the bread. Overall, many people would often just choose the Krispy Kreme donut over the yum-yum donuts because of the texture and the sweetness out of it. ![]() By: Agustin Garcia Damien Pizza is a food eaten by millions of people worldwide. It has become a popular food, that originated in Italy. We are all very comfortable with there being pizza places everywhere. According to Business Insider, 3 out of the 20 most popular fast food restaurants are pizza places, including Pizza Hut, Dominoes, and Little Caesars. Probably the most popular pizza out there is Pepperoni Pizza. It is an icon of food and it is commonly seen as the best type of Pizza. With good reason, I’ve come to a similar conclusion. Pepperoni Pizza is the best because it’s the most commonly bought pizza and it’s an iconic symbol. Pepperoni Pizza is the best type of pizza because it is the most commonly bought pizza. According to Business Insider, when a research study was done involving 604 pizza place locations across the US, the most commonly chosen topping was in fact pepperoni. Of the 12 options that were shown, Pepperoni had 36% of all the toppings that were chosen. This number beats the next three toppings combined. (Sausage with a 14%; Mushrooms with an 11%; Other with a 10%) Cleary, most people in the world see my opinion as well, pepperoni Pizza is just the best when it comes to a topping and the pizza. Another reason that Pepperoni Pizza is the best is that it’s become an iconic symbol for pizza and food in general. According to an Eater article, “Pizza ads and commercials tend to highlight three specific kinds of pizzas: pepperoni; pepperoni and mushroom; and pepperoni, mushroom, green pepper, onion, and black olive. A DiGiorno pizza ad pops up into my Twitter feed every hour: It’s pepperoni. Banner ads for Little Caesars, Domino’s, and Pizza Hut? Mainly pepperoni. Google pizza commercials from the 1980s, and discover an endless supply of pepperoni, pepperoni-mushroom, and the PMGPOBO. I watched seven different commercials from 2017 and they rarely deviated from this pattern.” Pepperoni is just an icon and the media and pizza companies have seen this fact already, and have even encouraged this fact. They use it in their commercials when you see a bunch of teenagers or young adults opening a pizza and smiling when they see what’s inside. Sure enough, many people are drawn to this fact, and more than usual, are not disappointed and find that the pizza looks similar to what was seen in the commercial. ![]() By: Mindy Quach The Bay Area has so many places to eat at and at a variety of different skills. They are plenty of spots to eat sushi at and ranges from fusion to authentic. Here are some of my favorites in the Bay Area. My all time favorite and go to is Cha Cha Sushi. This place is always crowded and has a line during rush hour. It has a variety of food other than rolls. Let alone, their rolls have a huge variety with having traditional platters with more fusion ones. My favorite rolls are the 49er and the Spicy Rainbow. These two rolls are my top favorites to get and I am always contemplating whether or not to get both or just one. However, if you aren’t in the mood for raw fish or it’s just not up your alley, Cha Cha has a variety of rolls that will satisfy your taste. Whether you want a fried roll, oven baked, spicy, or non-spicy. They even have vegetarian options! And if you are wanting more of a platter, they offer those too!! Dinner plates, to udon, to a full on bento box! One of everyone’s favorite go to places for sushi in the south bay because of their variety and great quality both food and service. It's a great family friendly place or a place for a first day or even just to take cute girls on dates. Another one of my favorite go-to’s sushi places is an all you can eat place (AYCE)! At Kenzo’s you are able to order as much as you want in 5 order rounds. This place is a little pricier than Cha-Cha, on a weekend it is $28 for AYCE but however, the quality is well worth. On a weekend, the wait time can go from anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours. People are dedicated and willing to wait for, that shows how much this place knows their stuff. This place has a variety of rolls but not as much as Cha Cha but it is AYCE! Kenzo’s also has a variety of other foods though! Kenzo’s offer traditional platters and also American fusion platters. They also offer quite a variety of different hand rolls. They have a variety of appetizers, ranging from edamame, sashimi platters, and soups and salads. This place is a great place for groups and families. This last place that is one of my favorites, however it is not offer traditional rolls, instead it is a fusion fast food restaurant that originated in San Francisco! This place has grown all over the Bay Area having 3 locations in San Jose. Sushiritto is the original concept of a sushi burrito. This doesn’t seem like a place that should be in top favorites because of it being a chain and being considered as ‘fast food’ however the quality is amazing! Sushiritto has a service adopted by Chipotle where they create your order through an assembly line. It is a great way to have sushi on the road or a less messy way of eating when craving. Whenever in San Jose or the Bay Area, make sure to check these places out if your craving sushi. These are definitely the best places on my list to get sushi, traditional or not. ![]() By: Ethan Khuu-Tran Upon thinking about the best three burgers, I didn’t really know. I had a poll among my peers. They voted In-N-Out, Five Guys, and The Habit. I was sent out on a mission to try out the three burger joints. I also brought along my buddy Julian, who also could give a second opinion on the burgers. Together we would critic and compare ideas together. I decided to hit all three places in one day for the sake of convenience. First off, we went to In-N-Out. We both got a double double (burger with two patties) with animal style fries. I forgot to take pictures because I just ate it all without thinking. While we were discussing about the other two locations, we said how In-N-Out is just nostalgic. At around $10 per person, you can’t complain about the food. Honestly you can’t really hate on In-N-Out, it’s just In-N-Out. It’s quite above average for a burger at its price point. My favorite part about the place was the fries. To be more specific, the animal style fries (fries topped with cheese and grilled onions). I always liked In-N-Out but a few years back when I found out about the animal style fries, I fell in love with it. In-N-Out will always have a place in my heart. The next burger that we had was from Five Guys. For Five Guys, we wanted to split it so we wouldn’t be full by the time we got to the third burger place. We got a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, grilled onions, and jalapenos. In total our meal of 2 drinks, a small cajun style fries, and a bacon cheeseburger was $17. This meal was a little more pricey compared to In-N-Out’s. However, you do get more meat with your burger compared to In-N-Out’s small delicious patty and unlimited toppings for your burgers which is a plus for someone who usually eats everything. The Cajun style fries are different from the fries from In-N-Out. The thing I like about both these burger places is that they use fresh ingredients. Both of their fries are freshly made. The Cajun style fries are a bit larger and thicker. They also are really salty so you might want to ask them to lay low on the salt. They have a slightly sweet and savory taste that comes with every bite. For people who have food allergies, I recommend you to be careful because when you walk in, there is an open bin of peanuts laying around for people to snack on as they wait for their order. The burger was humongous.. The taste of meat was almost overwhelming. There was a noticable difference between the two burger places. In-N-Out is good overall, while the Five Guys burger is trying to stuff meat into your stomach. Like I said earlier, the burger was a little too overwhelming in the meat aspect, but definitely good! . The Habit was the last place I visited. I was already full so I wasn’t expecting anything good from the place. My friend ordered for the both of us, 2 double char burgers (double patty), one side of onion rings, and one side of fried peas. Surprisingly the total was also around $17 which was highly affordable. We basically paid just as much as Five Guys and got more for the both of us. It was my first time there and I was very satisfied with the experience. The best that I can describe this place is that it’s in between In-N-Out and Five Guys. The price point is between the two restaurants, leaning a little bit to Five Guys. The taste is meaty like Five Guys but it still holds the special taste like In-N-Out. There is one thing that sets, The Habit apart from the other two places has that home feeling. When I first ate the burger, it reminded me of the late night barbeques at my uncle’s in the summer. Overall, I would recommend all three of these places. I would rate the burger places with my experience dining there: In-N-Out, The Habit, Five Guys. I certainly will come back to these places. With my bloated stomach, I still don’t regret going to all three places in one day. ![]() By: Spencer Tang The history of the hot dog cannot be certain of where it had been originated or first made. In 1484 the frankfurter had been created in a German town, although the people of Vienna have said they’re the originators of the wienerwurst. That being said it hasn’t yet been confirmed which one of these places had became the first to create the hot dog. In the modern day, there can be different creations or styles to making a hot dog that can affect the taste and how much people will like it. In the bay, businesses and individuals have been able to thrive in the highly populated society. All of whom compete with one another in making money, and that helps people decide which one is the best choice to enjoy. First of all, one of the most common hot dog area to go to is ,Wienerschnitzel. This place creates hot dogs that are covered in chili. These hot dogs at the price of $1.79. Now the hot dog and bun itself are pretty average themselves with how they taste, being one of those that come from the store or a cookout. When ordering the hot dog, it comes out fresh and steaming when opening the wrapper. The smell of the chili rises to enter the nose and fill the lungs. The taste of the hot dog and the bun are quite average, although the taste being mixed with the chili is a whole different experience. Being one of the best places to eat a hot dog ,if there was some craving that was needed to be satisfied, definitely go here! Secondly, Costco is also a place that sells tasty hot dogs. The only downside to obtaining this hot dog is how there is a required membership to Costco that is needed to be presented in order to enter and purchase the $1.50 hot dog. Now, Costco presents the classic put your own toppings onto your hotdog. They have setup this area in which they lay out a variety of choices. Allowing to scoop anything and as much as needed, onto the delicious hot dog. With the hot dog being steamed in the tin foil, it will make the bun moist, but not to the point that its soggy. Oddly enough, this makes the hot dog taste better and becomes easier to eat with the soft bun. The juicy hot dog is truly amazing! Last but not least, a burger joint named Five Guys, sells hot dogs along with their tasty burgers. One of the perks of going to this place to eat is the amount of toppings that are allowed on the food choice. The $4.69 hot dog itself is quite longer than the average size, being a couple inches longer. Such toppings can be: mayonnaise, relish, raw onion, lettuce, pickles, tomato, A1 sauce, hot sauce, etc. Imaging all of those fresh and tasty toppings is basically creating your own hot dogs, all of which is to your very own liking. These hot dogs are served in tinfoil that keeps the it hot incase you want to save it for later. When eating it, the taste of the different topics swirling together. That gives the amazing and the desirable taste that people come to obtain in their mouth. The different types of hot dogs can all be in one's opinion based on how people see them, and the way their taste buds affect the taste of the hot dog. Many places will have their own style of making such food item, yet its the little touches they make that changes everything. In the future we would be able to see the evolution of hot dogs based off today’s hot dogs. The mixing of ingredients and ways to cook the hot dog will bring a new taste in the future. ![]() By: Jessica Flores Many people love coffee and specifically Starbucks. From kids to adults many spend their money on one of the most expensive coffee shop here in San Jose that I know of. The Starbucks menu has some pretty basic options but it doesn’t please everyone's sweet tooth. When first discovering Starbucks I discovered what they call “the Starbucks secret menu” and it caught my attention. While not being much of a secret, many people still don’t know about all the interesting flavors are carried on the website. The options vary from Frappuccinos to some crazy beverages to the classic Starbucks refreshers. When first discovering the secret menu the first drink that I wanted to try was the Cotton Candy Frappuccino. Back then this drink was one of the most popular on the secret menu so much so that it is now on their mobile order app as an option on their regular menu. This drink consist of a vanilla bean frap with pumps of raspberry syrup. This syrup causes the drink to turn pink. This drink is for those of you who have a major sweet tooth. Not only does it have the sweet taste from the vanilla powder in the frappuccino but along with the syrup added to the drink. The only downfall to this drink is that for the smallest size cost $4.25 and the biggest size cost $5.25 with that if you are up for the adventure why not give it a shot. On the other hand if you are more of a chocolate person , I would definitely recommend l the Ferrero Rocher Frappuccino or the Kit-Kat Frappuccino. The drinks taste very similar to the actual candies, so much that if you were to try them you would probably think that they add actual candy bars but they don’t. This frappuccino consists of a java chip frappuccino added mocha syrup along with hazelnut syrup. The price varies from $4.75 to $5.75. Ferrero Rocher chocolates are my favorite so there was a little bit of a bias there so I asked my cousin to try both as well. My cousins exact words were, “ Oh my god, this tastes so good it tastes exactly like the candies” but with that not everyone likes sweetness of any kind. Now for those who don't like sweet drinks they have option number 3. I would have written the name for the third option but it is a very controversial name. This drink is one of the strongest caffeinated drinks that are offered on the Starbucks secret menu. This drink consists of is 4 shots of espresso with 4 pumps of white chocolate syrup on ice in a grande cup. While you can get all of this distributed into a bigger cup so it isn’t as strong. For those who don’t like their drinks being strong this drink isn’t going to be for you. Espresso itself is very caffeinated and with this drink not containing milk to dilute it just causes for a very strong drink. With the strength of this coffee comes a great price to pay, for just a medium size drink it costs $7.15 cents. My best friend herself said that this drink was way too strong for her liking. While many people enjoy the fact that there is a secret menu with more options others, like for example Ms.Rios say, “I think that the idea of a secret menu is dumb”. From the sweetest of drinks to the strongest the starbucks secret menu has it all. Not only does it have frappuccinos they also have hot chocolates, refreshers, macchiatos, and lattes. While many like sticking to classic drinks others like to change it up in their everyday routine. Depending on that you enjoy in your everyday life I would recommend taking a look for yourself. ![]() By: Juan Martinez Doughnuts are everywhere in the world. There are different flavors, for example, glazed donuts, chocolate covered donuts, and even a jelly filled donut. You can have cool designs on them. The top 2 basic donuts that mostly a lot of people eat are glazed donuts and chocolate covered donuts. I went to a cheap donut shop and an expensive donut shop. I tasted different chocolate donuts from two different donut shops and here are my opinions. The first donut shop I went to was called Yum Yum Donuts-2303 McKee Rd. When I went inside, it smelled fresh and there wasn't a lot of space, but not a little. There are tables where you can sit at. The donut was about 2.00 around there. The donut was really soft and the flavors were pretty equal. I walk from there to my house which took about 10 minutes and the chocolate from the donuts wasn't melted. The other donut shop that I went to was a Mexican name which is La Panaderia-436 King Rd. I walked in and it didn't have a smell. You can kinda see how they create the donuts. It is a pretty small place. There are absolutely no tables or chairs to sit at. There is a little stand where you can like create your coffee but you just have to buy the cup and the milk. They had more types of bread than donuts. Around the donut shop, there are different other shops. The donut was about $1-75 cents. When I bit into it, the bread was really crusty and really hard. In the bottom was really white. The chocolate was overtaking the bread and it was melting on my way home. They wrapped it in a bag and then they put it in another bag. I interview a fellow student and this is what he said. Have you ever been to Yum Yum or La Panaderia? Yes What do you prefer, chocolate or glazed? glazed What was your opinion on the Yum Yum chocolate donut? The bread was soft and the flavors were equal. What is your opinion on the La Panaderia chocolate donut? It was hard and there was too much chocolate. Which one is better, Yum Yum or La Panaderia? Yum Yum As you can see, the more expensive one is worth getting the expensive one. If you are too poor to get the expensive one get the cheap one. There are only those places where you can go. You can to Krispy Kreme or 7-11 donuts. |
