I bet you own a iphone or samsung phone right now and if you own one you probably think the other isn’t as good for some reason. Well today I will be gathering facts and opinions about both of the internationally known electronic companies. This won’t really be about which one of the two is the best but instead the differences each company has in their products whether good or bad. First I am going to be talking about the specs of both of the most recent devices released from Apple and Samsung which are the iPhone XS and the samsung galaxy s9. One thing to point first before I get into the spec of the devices is how The iPhone XS cost a whopping $999 with the cheapest Galaxy s9 being at only $620 which is almost a $400 difference. However when you compare the samsung Galaxy s9 with the iPhone XR which is the cheapest of the iPhones at $749 you can see a big $129 difference. Cost isn’t the only difference, for the screens are different too with the iPhone XS at 6.1 inches and the Galaxy s9 at 5.8 inches however it’s easier to wield one handed. Like the iPhone, the s9 is hardy, has superior dust and water-resistance, and still includes an 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of spec inside the devices the iPhone is slightly faster however doesn’t contain an amoled screen like the s9. Something I’ve noticed recently is that there is a large amount of students and teachers alike that own either apple phones or devices and not nearly as much Samsung or android devices in comparison. Most people I’ve asked have never even had a Samsung phone and have only ever owned apple phones. Most people like Nikki Bui, a freshmen at KSJC, said “I guess apple is more secure and reliable clear to use” and/or just said, “ I prefer apple a little bit more because it looks better to me” which Nikki also said. I trend that I have noticed in school and other places in general is how airpods, Apple’s wireless headphones, have been getting increasingly popular while Samsung has made nothing that even compares to the sales of the airpods. But then again Samsung does also make things like tvs and even technology for the military which Apple does not do or even if it did not as good as Samsung. To wrap things up both companies have their positives and unique designs but they both end up doing the same thing so it just comes down to personal preference on how they look and how much your willing to spend on something which might be better at something than the other phone. Also each company has their respected products and Apple even uses Samsung technology in their displays. Basically no company is better than the other since they both make their own respective products with their own designs which have their positives and negatives.
