Tournaments have also gotten bigger too. The amount of people participating and the amount of people who watch and attend. One of the main reasons that this game continues to grow is the games constant updates. New updates add things like cosmetics and new “champions” (characters that players can use). The game is free to play with micro-transactions. Players can use real money to buy in game currency. Professional eSports team for the game also helped popularize the game. There are many teams that compete in two different competitions in Europe and in North America. Each team has their own following and supports. These people attend things like tournaments and buying the teams merch helps promote the game.
